BREAKING NEWS: Red Arrows cancelled
THE famous Red Arrows had to cancel their display at Whitby Regatta only minutes before the eagerly-anticapted performance.
Huge crowds lined the West Cliff and on the east cliff near Whitby Abbey.
Dozens of boats were also out at sea before the call came through just before 3pm.
The planes were unable to take off from their base at RAF Scampton in Lincolnshire due to the poor weather conditions.
