student from Whitby has been recognised for his top performance after receiving a Student of the Year award.
Lee Readman (22) is midway through his apprenticeship with York Potash and an IT qualification at East Riding College. A former student at Whitby Community College, Lee said: “It’s great. It wasn’t expected but it’s nice to be recognised for my work and I enjoy being part of the team for such an exciting project for the area.”
Lee works four days a week at York Potash’s head office in Scarborough and education and skills manager Matt Parsons said: “There are many talented young people in the area and we are delighted to have founded someone of Lee’s calibre.”
