Sorry state of Christmas trees

To the powers that be at SBC may I take this opportunity to wish you all a very happy Christmas, after all this is the season of goodwill to all men.

May I also say how lovely the Christmas tree lights are in Scarborough and the magnificent Christmas tree that’s in the Brunswick Centre!

As I live in Whitby (born and bred) I remember as a little girl how lovely the Christmas tree was at the bottom of Golden Lion Bank, full of lights and wrapped presents, although that one isn’t therr any longer and you have seen fit to dot them around the town what is your excuse for a sorry state of a Christmas tree on the bridge end?

While Scarborough residents are enjoying Christmas shopping and having the pleasure of brightly decorated streets and Christmas trees the residents of Whitby have to yet again put up with being the poor relations.

PS: I also wonder what TV or radio personality you will have to pay to switch your lights on this year - who will be switching ours on?

SCROOGE!
