Scoresby on the scrapheap

In response to your article ‘Scoresby on the scrapheap’ - Friday 30 November.

I suggest that if the memorial is to be resurrected a suitable site might be found in Pannett Park, close to the path leading from the small gate in St Hilda’s Terrace towards the lily pool, but beyond the whalebone inspired arch, closer to the main path’s junction with the path leading to the Newton Street entrance steps.

This site would be reasonably prominent, along a main pathway through the park and appropriately close to the rear of the former Scoresby residence, itself now marked with a Blue Plaque in 13 Bagdale.
