Researching the Paylor family tree

I grew up in Whitby during World War II, 1939 to 1947.

The RAF found a use for me from 1947 to 1949.

My parents emigrated to Canada in 1947 and I joined them in 1949.

My hobby, now that I am retired) has been researching the Paylor family tree.

The Yorkshire Archaeological Association (Leeds, Yorks) supplied a contract researcher.

He has traced my direct line to a Mathew Paylor (wife’s maiden name Mary Kendrew) who had eight children 1783-1791.

He was a farmer living in Sowerby near Thirsk.

All the generation shave been carefully documented.

This information is available to any Paylor family tree researcher at no cost.

If there is any connection to the Paylor family members in Whitby I would appreciate hearing about it.
