The Whitby Town Neighbourhood Watch Association is holding its annual general meeting at Airy Hill School tonight (Mon Oct 24), start 6pm.

All are most welcome to attend.

There will be a representative from the North Yorkshire Police to address any policing issues about which you have concerns.

This will be a great opportunity to learn about the aims and objectives of Neighbourhood Watch and how it can enable communities to work together to become stronger and safer and to limit the opportunity for crime to occur.

The means for this include increasing awareness and adoption of effective crime prevention measures, timely warning of suspicious acts, reducing opportunities for victimisation and the impact of crime or harm, especially for the elderly or vulnerable.

David James,

joint district lead,

Whitby Neighbourhood Watch Association
