TODAY we bring you another two Jet Set Gazetteers.
Firstly, we have Lythe’s Alice Duell (left).
She posed for the snap with her copy of the Whitby Gazette during a recent trip to the Canary Islands.
While staying at the Maspalomas resort on Gran Canaria she was able to meet up with her niece, Drake’s Estate resident Kim Little, whose cruise ship arrived at the island around the same time.
And above, we have Ruth Leadley holding a copy of her favourite newspaper while on the ramparts of Mdina (The Silent City) Castle, Malta.
The picture was taken by Paul Walker.
Mdina is an example of the many castles, forts, cathedrals and watch towers built during the crusades by the Knights of St John and provides fantastic views across the valley towards Ta’Qali, which was an RAF Airbase during WWII.
