PATIENTS and other users of mental health services have given outstanding feedback on the care they have received.
The 2011 Community Mental Health Survey was completed by service users over 16 who had received specialist care or treatment between July and September 2010.
Eight different sections of care were measured, and results showed mental health services in North Yorkshire scored better in most categories than the majority of other trusts, including a score of over 9 out of 10 for staff.
John Clare, associate director of mental health services at NHS North Yorkshire and York, said:
“We’re delighted we’ve been given such a good assessment by people who have used our services. These results will be a boost for our hard working staff.”
He added results would be used to tackle areas where concerns were raised.
