The number of beds available at Whitby Hospital is set to be restored to full capacity from next month.
Five beds were made unavailable to patients in the summer months due to staff shortages.
But now the health trust, which manages the hospital, says it has recruited more staff.
The number of beds on the War Memorial had been reduced from 20 to 15 for safety reasons because there weren’t enough resources.
The Abbey ward which has 15 beds was unaffected by the problems.
A spokeswoman said: “We have worked with the trust to try and get these re-opened as soon as possible.”
