Four four-legged furry friends are being given an extra hand to keep warm this winter, while helping to raise money for dogs in need of new homes.

Kathy Frost and her band of helpers are selling knitted dog coats in aid of Whitby Dog Rescue, as modelled above by Bracken, Poppy and Louis.

Last year they made £650.

Over the winter the coats will also be available from Penny Clare home furnishings at Newholm and over the summer they are sold at Perry’s Garden Centre.

Kathy said: “Bracken came from Leeds and I had started knitting but spending most of my time here so thought I should do it for Whitby Dog rescue.”
