PICTURED here are Dave Hodgson and David Counter during a recent visit to Wellington in New Zealand.

Whitby Gazette reader Dave and his wife Linda, who took the picture, live in Redcar but his mother Evelyn Hodgson – nee Purvis – was born in Whitby.

They still have many friends and relations still living in the town and surrounding area.

Meanwhile, David lives in Great Ayton and works at Gisborough Hall.
