A FAMILY fund-raiser held on 21 October in memory of a deceased Whitby man managed to raise over £1,000 for charity.
The event was held in memory of Sean Coleman, who died aged just 27 in May after suffering from muscular dystrophy.
Yvonne Bailey, who helped organise the event, said: “I’d like to thank Raw nightclub because they gave the venue for free. Also the businesses and friends for donating such a large amount to the charity.”
In addition to Sean’s Night, which raised £1,331, other donations were gathered and a total of £3,414 was raised.
