THE CAMPAIGN to Protect Rural England Coastal Branch will be holding their next meeting tomorrow.
There will be a presentation by Brian Sweeney from Askham Bryan College who is working on a moorland area within the National Park.
His talk will explain how it functions, its impact and how it can enhance the environmental condition and help long term upland sustainability.
The area designated by the CPRE as ‘The Coastal Branch’ varies from moorland, sheep and forestry to lowland corn growing areas.
Habitations go from small moorland hamlets and isolated moorland farms in the National Park to tourist honeypots like Whitby and Scarborough.
The meeting is 10.30am at The Flask Inn on the A171 near Robin Hoods Bay.
