Public drop in session to be held in Staithes

A public drop-in session will be held in Staithes on Thursday to allow local residents and businesses to find out how investigations into sources of pollution affecting the bathing water are progressing and allow local people and business to discuss the results.

It is being held from 4pm to 8pm at Staithes Memorial Hall where represenatives from the Yorkshire Bathing Partnership will be present.

The Environment Agency and Yorkshire Water, as part of the Yorkshire Bathing Water Partnership, have been running modelling studies to find out what type of pollution has been reducing water quality in Staithes and how the harbour wall might be affecting it.
