Experience nature first hand and learn about pond life and the local history which has shaped our landscape by joining The National Trust’s coastal capers day.
If you’re looking for a way to celebrate the summer and for the kids to let off a bit of steam, there is no better place to be.
A ranger will show you what aquatic mini-beasts you can find living in the pond and with games and children’s craft activities, there is plenty for all to enjoy.
Anyone interested in local history can sign up for a guided tour of Peak Alum Works to see how past industry has shaped today’s landscape.
Refreshments will be available giving you the chance to sit back and enjoy the stunning views looking over Robin Hood’s Bay.
National Trust staff will be on hand to chat about how they care for our beautiful coastline and offer the chance to buy raffle tickets, souvenirs and to sign up for National Trust membership.
The event will be at the National Trust Peakside base in Ravenscar on Sunday from 10am-3pm.
