THE MOORS National Park Centre in Danby is gearing up for its annual Victorian-themed Christmas fair which takes place over this weekend.
The fair will showcase the talent of local artists and producers with more than 35 stalls selling a range of food, drink and gifts, including jewellery, textiles and woodwork, all sourced from around the North York Moors.
Barrel organ music will add to the festive atmosphere and for younger visitors, the National Park Authority’s education team will be laying on a number of Christmas-themed craft activities and there will also be a chance to meet Father Christmas.
Sally Ann Smith, the National Park Authority’s events and exhibitions co-ordinator, said: “As well as a good day out with something for all the family, our Christmas Fair also offers the perfect opportunity to buy some unique gifts that you won’t find on the high street.”
Doors open at 10.30am and entry to the event is free, with the weekend offering even more shopping opportunities as it coincides with an exhibition at the centre’s Inspired by... Gallery by local craft association Brigantia.
