FANTASTIC Mr Fox, Matilda, Willy Wonka and witches all turned up to Ruswarp School on Friday as part of Roald Dahl dress-up day.
The purpose of the event celebrating the Norwegian author was to raise money for his children’s charity, for specialist nurses, care and equipment for children with rare neurological and blood conditions.
It proved a fun day for all the pupils.
David (7) said: “I dressed up as George from George’s Marvellous Medicine.
“I had a really good time because we could wear different clothes for school.”
Charlie (9) added: “It was great because we got dressed-up and there was not much maths.”
Tilly (4) chose to dress as an oompa loompa from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and said she really enjoyed having her face painted.
