Don’t be a clown warns Jessica

THE safety slogan greeting drivers at RAF Fylingdales has been designed by a nine year-old pupil at West Cliff School.
Jessica Price won a competition which was started by Ministry of Defence policeman Mal Wright who is the community safety office at the base.
Back in November he asked school children to come up with a poster to drive road safety and Jessica’s was judged to be the winner.
Her eye-catching slogan “Don’t be a clown, slow your car down” has been reproduced by the highways department at North Yorkshire County Council (NYCC) and will be attached to the gates at the entrance to RAF Fylingdales.
At a special school assembly before the half term break Jessica was presented with a paints set and some sweets by the station commander Rayna Owens.
