A LOCAL author and teacher dropped in to Ruswarp School to help kids get their creative minds working.

Antony Wootten, from Oakridge School at Hinderwell, visited Ruswarp School on Friday 20 April to take part in a day of creative writing workshops with the Year 3 and 4 class, the Discoverers.

Workshops included story planning, poetry writing and tips for designing book covers.

Mr Wootten who has written a novel called “A Tiger Too Many” and a collection of limericks entitled “There Was An Old Fellow From Skye” said: “I really enjoyed working with the Discoverers Class today. They were full of great ideas and enthusiasm."
