Cyclist airlifted to hospital

A MOUNTAIN biker who had an accident while riding in Dalby Forest was airlifted to hospital on Wednesday.

The Great North Air Ambulance was called at 12.40pm and the crew along with colleagues from the Yorkshire Ambulance service treated a man in his 40s who had sustained potentially serious spinal injuries when he came off his bike.

He was flown to James Cook Hospital in 11 minutes in a stable condition.
