Whitby’s motorsports enthusiasts are getting excited for one of the region’s most eagerly-anticipated festivals.
Between August 3-4, Croft Circuit near Darlington will host its annual Nostalgia Weekend, historic motor sport, classic and vintage cars and motorbikes, WWII encampments and machinery, air displays and non-stop fashion, music and lifestyle themes from the 1940s-1970s.
Croft Circuit Manager Tracey Morley commented: “The historic scene continues to boom and our Nostalgia weekend is all about recreating sights, sounds and smells from a number of much loved eras. Our on-track activity is one highlight but probably 60 per cent of the event is about what’s also happening in our grounds with some incredible displays and rare finds.
“There are other very good events across the region which specialise in one or two areas of nostalgia but our weekend brings all those areas together. As a consequence there’s something for all generations of family to come and enjoy amid a very special atmosphere.”
Adult tickets to Croft Nostalgia 2013 are priced £10 Saturday and £13 Sunday if booked in advance. Admission for accompanied children aged 15 and under is free all weekend. For more details and to book tickets visit www.croftcircuit.co.uk or call the circuit office on 01325 721815.
