A WHITBY man was hit in the face during an unprovoked attack in a yard off the town’s Baxtergate early on Friday morning (13 May).
The 23-year-old man had been having breakfast in the Singing Kettle in Angel Yard before the incident took place at around 6.15am.
They are believed to have picked on the man and then followed the victim in Angel Yard as he walked to his car which was parked in Baxtergate to get away from them.
He was left with a lump on his cheekbone after being assaulted but did not need hospital treatment.
One of the offenders was wearing a plain red coloured top, the other was on crutches and the third man was wearing a blue top. All were aged in their twenties.
