THE Whitby store of leading vetinary charity PDSA is appealing for donations to help raise money for sick and injured pets in the local area.

The store desperately needs all types of donations, including clothing, bric-a-brac and books.

Store manager, Patricia Reed, said: “Please bring any good quality items you no longer need to the store.

“It is the perfect opportunity to have a clear out of your cupboards and help support the charity as well.

“If you can’t get to the store, you can call to arrange a van collection, available Tuesdays and Thursdays.”

The store also needs new volunteers to help with daily tasks, such as preparing stock and serving customers.

No experience is required as training is provided.

Whitby PDSA store is located in Baxtergate and is open from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Saturday, and Sunday 10.30am to 4.30pm.
