THE superb new-look Whitby Gazette has received tremendous reaction.

Early indications were very positive, with favourable comments on the content and design.

Readers flicking through the new newspaper said: “You can tell there is more news in it.”

Staff from all departments were out and about to talk to readers for extra feedback.

Sarah Harrison, promotions co-ordinator, who was at various venues, said: “Everyone has been positive and showing interest in the subscriptions.”

Other staff added: “The comment from one elderly gentleman was ‘It looks great, love!’”

Gazette staff also reported queues of people buying copies of the new newspaper.
