THE Fraserburgh Trawler Valhalla FR 268 is set to begin sea trials this month after an extensive remodelling and extension at Parkol Marine Engineering.

The twin rig trawler has been at the shipyard for around four months, during which time a new 7m midsection was fitted, pictured right, as well as new stern gear, including a custom-made nozzle and propeller.

Other improvements include a new bow thruster, renewed hull plating to the aft and the creation of washing and drying facilities.

A new three-barrel trawl winch will also be fitted, together with new piping and a landing crane.
