No catches to cash for companies

THERE are no catches to the cash hand-outs being offered to businesses in Whitby.

Not enough businesses are applying for the funding worth up to £8000 – and the team at CO2Sense think it’s because businesses just don’t believe there are no catches.

The £8,000 can be spent on more efficient heating or lighting equipment, or more efficient machinery that will reduce carbon emissions.

It doesn’t need to be paid back, and businesses taking part will also be making cost savings from their new equipment.

As well as a grant, each business will get a two day free environmental review and an Action Plan specific for their business, which will show them exactly how they could be making cost and carbon savings.

The funding and expert advice comes from CO2Sense, the not-for-profit low carbon expert company, part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
