NEW jobs are coming to the area as Raithwaite Hall hotel prepares to launch its second major development.
The Keep annexe, which is in the grounds but separate to the hotel, is nearing the stages of completion and will have 28 extra rooms plus luxury facilities for dogs including a hydrotherapy pool.
Now the hotel bosses are recruiting staff for The Keep and hope to create up to 30 local jobs.
Roles are available in hospitality, landscaping, maintenance and administration with scope for on site training and NVQs.

Julie Morley, head of HR, said: “We have always been keen to employ as many people as possible from the local community and with the Keep, the Lakehouse at Raithwaite and our new cottages, we are now in a position to create even more local jobs to Whitby, and further boost the local economy.
“We want to keep young ambitious people in Whitby and don’t want them to feel that they need to move out of the area to further their careers.”
A planning application has also been submitted from the Skelwith Group, which owns the hotel, asking for permission to convert what was set to be a holiday cottage into a tea room and cafe.
