Government set to decide potash plan

A public inquiry is likely to be held into whether a new potash mine could be constructed in the North York Moors National Park.

Chris France, director of planning at the North York Moors National Park Authority (NYMNPA), told the Whitby Gazette it is probable that the Government will make the ultimate decision about whether the mine, being proposed by York Potash, can go ahead.
