ONE lucky tenant in Whitby could win a fortnight’s free rent in an Easter prize draw.
Tenants have until 2 April, when the lucky winner will be announced result, to make sure they are included in the Yorkshire Coast Homes draw.
To be eligible for entry tenants must be up to date with their rent, have had their gas service visit and not be in breach of their tenancy.
The firm which manages homes on behalf of Scarborough Borough Council said the draw was to encourage tenants to make sure things are up to date.
Tim Waugh, YCH income manager, said: “The idea is to help encourage tenants to make sure they pay their rent and clear any arrears they may have.
“To reward those tenants, four lucky winners will each win two weeks rent free which can be taken at any time over the year.
“For example if money is tight for school uniforms, family birthdays, at Christmas or some other occasion.”
He added that help is available for tenants who are struggling to pay bills by way of rent arrears management and the free and confidential Money Management Service.

The draw is also available for a tenant in Filey and two in Scarborough.
