200 year old house restored to former glory

before the restoration of thistlebank could get properley underway two years ago, nathan and carolyn spent six months clearing the basement which was eight feet deep in junk.

He said: “It took that long to sort out what was worth keeping and what to throw away.”

They were helped in the renovation process by local tradesmen including:

Whitby Stonework and Restoration, SI Electrics, Chris Nock Plumbing, John Waller and Shaun Sellers for joinery and David Bamforth architect.
