A GARDEN centre has raised over £200 for an animal charity by selling knitted dog coats.

The coats, in all colours, shapes and sizes have been knitted by animal loving volunteers and on sale at Perry’s Garden Centre at Briggswath over the summer.

It raised £200 from sales which were in aid of Whitby Dog Rescue.

Perry’s has now closed for the winter season and knitter Kathy Frost said that Penny Clare, the interiors shop at High Farm, Newholm will be selling the coats.
