AN artist with a love of the sea will be holding a one woman show of her work in Robin Hood’s Bay.

Fay Chetwood will be showcasing her watercolour paintings at The Old Coastguard Station from 17 to 23 April.

Fay was born in the little village of Hutton Gate near Guisborough and her love of painting developed in childhood from frequent visits to the coast and moors.

She said: “I am self tought, but have only had the time to paint seriously in the past ten years.

“I have a great love of the north east and particularly the sea for which I hold a fascination in trying to capture its movement and moods.

“I paint in watercolour which is a challenge, but love its delicacy. I have exhibited nationally and locally but this is to be my first solo exhibition.”
