WHITBY'S lifeboat crew and coastguard team helped rescue a woman who had fallen down cliffs at Saltwick Bay on Saturday.
The inshore lifeboat was called out just before 9pm and arrived a few minutes later.
Two of the crew climbed up the cliff with a stretcher, Entinox gas and first aid kit.
Whitby coastguard had already stabilised the woman on a spinal board.
They helped the coastguard team to carry the casualty to a waiting ambulance at Whitby Holiday Park and then returned to Whitby lifeboat station with the inshore boat and prepared her once more for service.
The woman was taken to Scarborough Hospital for treatment.
