Whitby will be a much sadder place with out Roy, his loss is such a shock. Roy was a truly dedicated operations manager for the lifeboat and his professionalism shone through. He was a compassionate man with time for anyone, if he could he would often go that extra mile and never had a bad word to say about anybody! He was always a busy man and had responsibilities throughout Whitby, a true gent for sure, he will be sorely missed.
Our hearts and sympathy go out to his family at this sad time.

a truely loved friend and grandad "our grandad Roy".
you will always be in our thoughts and our heart, sadly missed by us all. Demi starr and Robbie-j look out at the sky at night and point to the brightest star in the sky and say that is where you are, looking down on them and watching over them, and no matter where they are or what they are doing, or when ever they feel sad you will always be around them in some shape or form, forever in our hearts.

all our love always and forever

katie, demi starr and robbie-j
