Pizza shoved in face

A LOCAL man was arrested outside a Whitby pizza shop after he allegedly assaulted a member of staff in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Police were called to Pizza Figaro in Langborne Road where they arrested the man who was aged in his early 20s. It is believed he pushed a piece of hot pizza in a member of staff’s face.

A fracas ensued and a member of staff was said to be assaulted.

The assailant left and returned to the scene shortly after with a stick which police recovered.

Police arrested the man and say they are currently investigating the incident.
