THIRTY pigeons were stolen from a loft in Grosmont on 1 April.
The owner told the Gazette he was too upset to talk about the theft as 20 years of breeding had been taken, making it impossible to place a value on the birds.

The theft took place between 9pm on 31 March and 6.30am on 1 April.

Anyone with any information should call PC Steve Voyzey at Whitby Police Station on (0845) 6060247 or Crimestoppers anonymously on (0800) 555111.
