A NEW alternative therapy business has opened in Whitby and aims to offer relief to those suffering from pain, stress, fatigue, asthma, hayfever, IBS, digestive problems, PMT – to name but a few.
Smart Therapies, based in St Hilda’s Business Centre, in the town has been plying its trade in Guisborough for a number of years and has now decided to branch out into Whitby.

The business has been set up by Judith Watson, a fully qualified practi
tioner and Norman Ogden, a fully qualified Bowen Technique practitioner.

Between them they offer therapies including The Bowen Technique which is a gentle but precise, non-manipulative and relaxing therapy that encourages the body to heal itself. It involves using the thumbs and fingers on precise points of the body and is used to treat shoulder problems, RSI, tennis elbow, back pain, sports injuries and sciatica among other ailments.

They also offer Daoyin Tao, a form of treatment which involves a Chinese face, neck and shoulder massage and treats stress and other problems. Reflexology and Hopi Ear Candling, a complementary therapy, has become increasingly popular in the last 20 years.

For more information call Judith Watson on (07934) 430 981, Norman Ogden (07510) 519 168 or visit Unit G8, St Hilda’s Business Centre, The Ropery, Whitby. Email info@smart-therapies.co.uk or log onto www.smart-therapies.co.uk
