Four are injured, one seriously, in Whitby road accident

POLICE and firefighters attended a collision on the A171 Guisborough Road at Saturday lunchtime.
The shunt, involvlng a Toyota estate, silver Nissan Qashqai and black Renault Clio happened at the turn-off to Sleights roundabout.

The accident left one female in shock, one male with a chest injury, one male with a wrist injury and another female with a neck injury.

Yorkshire Ambulance Service confirmed three ambulances and a rapid response vehicle attended the scene just before 12.10pm.

There were three minor injuries and one serious injury; two patients went to Scarborough District Hospital and two to James Cook University Hospital, Middlesbrough.
