ROBIN Hood's Bay folk legends Martin Carthy and Norma Waterson got a mention in an article in Saturday's Guardian newspaper.
The pair, who have been at the forefront of the British folk music scene for more than 30 years, are in a new book by Will Hodgkinson called The Ballad of Britain: How Music Captured the Soul of a Nation and a write-up on it featured in the Guardian.

The book attempts to find a link between contemporary music and an oral tradition of singing and songwriting that stretches back to the middle ages and beyond and Will interviewed the couple as part of his journey around the British Isles.
