THE annual Farndale Sheep Sale auction is being held tomorrow. Chris Clubley of Chris Clubley & Co Auctioneers will lead the sale of 650 sheep, all raised by a small number of farmers, traditionally working the surrounding land.
The sheep consist of a large number of strong, locally bred Ewes with lambs at foot to Suffolk and continental rams, many of these are younger Ewes. Also for sale will be 60 Suffolk X Gimmer Hoggs, 40 Geld Ewes and 10 Rams.

From large scale commercial farmers to smallholders, people flock from miles around to participate in this event. Cakes, teas and sandwiches will be made by the farmers' wives which are being sold in return for donations to support St Catherine’s Hospice.
