A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of attempting to supply controlled drugs.
Police raided a flat in Whitby’s Skinner Street on Wednesday night where they seized 59 tablets which are believed to be Class A drugs – they have been taken away for tests.

A local man in his 20s has been released on police bail while further enquiries take place.

A spokesman for North Yorkshire Police said: “Drugs are a scourge on our society and we make every effort to crack down on the illegal distribution of drugs in the Whitby area.

“If anyone has any information on drug dealing or drug misuse they should contact the police immediately on (0845) 6060247.”
