GUESTS at a hotel near Whitby can enjoy the new year with their dogs through a special service.
Bosses at Raven Hall Country House Hotel in Ravenscar are offering a Canine Concierge to help dog enthusiasts make the most of the holiday season.
Initiatives include a hounds retreat, which is a safe area for dogs to be allowed to wander freely without leads and collar for exercise, exploration and games.
There is also valet walkies for owners, who may prefer to have a break from the usual daily walk with their dog and can call a member of the hotel team to do it for them.
General manager Diane Uhalde said: “People may think we are barking mad but with some guests bringing their pets away for the first time we feel it is important they are treated as part of the family and given the same welcome and attention as our guests.”
