THE Tier 1 CAP Group is to hold its next meeting at the Whitby Museum in Pannett Park on Thursday, 17 July.
The meeting starts at 7.30pm with light refreshments from 7pm and the guest will be Stuart Pudney from the Police Authority.

The Tier 1 Group covers the whole Scarborough district and is where the chairmen from the other 11 consultative groups from the Whitby, Scarborough and Filey areas meet to exchange information and discuss current trends, Police performance and ask questions about local policing for their areas; the meetings are open to all members of public throughout the district.

CAP stands for Community and Police and the Groups are a Police Authority Community Anyone who has an interest in their community can come along to the quarterly-held meetings and have the opportunity to air any grievances or worries that they many have with either the District Commander, the Local Area Policing (LAP) Commander or a member of the Safer Neighbourhoods Team.
