AN exciting opportunity to meet with local artists is being offered at a new exhibition.
The Whitby Arts Society is showcasing an exhibition at Pannett Art Gallery which displays the work of both amateur and semi-professional artists from the Yorkshire coast and in Whitby.
The exhibition, which starts on Friday, will run until 29 May, and there will be a free glass of wine for guests at Friday's opening which will be conducted by Keith Prytherch, the Whitby Community College headteacher.
There will also be an opportunity to meet with the artists, and a chance to purchase much of the work on display which ranges from pastels to watercolours and oil paintings, and also includes more contemporary artwork with more than 70 pictures exhibited.
Artists include Kathryn Davenport, Sue Morton and Mary Bonner.
Opening times for Pannett Art Gallery are Tuesday to Sunday 9.30am to 4.30pm.
