BREAKING NEWS: Remains of Sandsend's Air France crash victim formally identified

THE body of missing Sandsend man Arthur Coakley has been found.
Mr Coakley's wife Pat was informed of the news by police today at 4.30pm.

He was on board the Air France jet which went missing after taking off from Rio on Monday 1 June, bound for Paris.

His boarding card as well as laptop had been found by air crash accident investigators.

Mrs Coakley told the Whitby Gazette: "At least now he is coming home."
