A CAR and motorbike have collided on the A174 Sandsend Road.
Police, ambulance and Whitby and Lythe fire crews are all in attendance.
The accident is believed to have happened at approximately 1.45pm near Sand Field House Farm past Whitby Golf Course.
Two ambulances are at the scene and have treated a male in his 30's who is believed to have been unconscious.
A fire brigade spokeswoman said no-one was trapped and casualties were being treated by paramedics while they made the two vehicles safe.
The road was re-opened by about 3.10pm yesterday afternoon.
