£1,000 engagement ring and passport are stolen

AN engagement ring worth £1,000 and a UK passport were stolen after a handbag was left on a bench in Whitby's West Cliff.
The woman was sitting on the bench on 17 June at just before 8pm.She left the bag on the bench unattended for five minutes and when she returned the bag was gone.

Also in the bag were bank cards and £120 in cash.
