THE Aislaby Follies played to full houses at both performances of its 1981 pantomime, Cinderella, in the village hall back in February 1981.
The panto, including the music and lyrics, was written by David Carrack of Aislaby and scenery was built and painted by Ken and Leslie Davies.
The Aislaby Follies was formed in 1979 when it presented a Christmas production - the first entertainment of its kind in the village for many years.
After a break in 1980, the company got together in 1981 to provide the village with its own pantomime.
The cast, pictured here, was: Cinderella, Angela Pearson, Prince Charming, Maureen Henry, Ugly Sisters, D Williams and K Davies, Baron Badley Broke, Lew Graham, Baroness Badley Broke, Irene Pearson, Fairy Grotto, Eileen Garrett, brokers-men, Briony Davies and Andrew Boddy, Dandini, Alison Williams, Buttons, Valerie Pearson, Polly, Sue Garrett, Herald, Dorothy Nellis, King Archibald, John Cave, Queen Gladys, Margaret Boddy, Dolly, Brenda Williams.
The stage manager was Martin Williams.
A small party was held in the New Tavern after the final show to celebrate the success of the production.
