Fylingdales Inn is set to host their FylingFest with great family entertainment lined up from live bands, a disco and BBQ in a bid to raise money for their chosen charities.
The event is all in aid of Yorkshire Air Ambulance and the RNLI. Last year the event raised over £1,700, with organisers hoping to beat that figure.
The Yorkshire Air Ambulance will have their own stand, and the Helicopter Heroes as seen on TV, will be making a special appearance.
Robin Hood’s Bay Fire Service will join in the fun and bring along a fire engine for children to explore.
There is a host of activities and fun lined up for the children to enjoy from face painting, a bouncy castle and an all day barbecue.
Around 10 bands will perform throughout the day. Hoping to get everyone up on their feet and dancing will be bands including The Committee, Just Us and Bare Wires.
A charity raffle will be available with a wide selection of prizes including a Co-op hamper, chocolates from Justin’s, a guided tour of Theakston’s brewery and an overnight stay in a hotel.
Organisers of the event said: “A big thanks to all the bands for giving their time and waiving their fees in order to raise even more money for the two charities and to Paul Wilson for supplying the stage and lots of his time.
Thanks also to Music Port for providing all the sound equipment, Baytown Players for all the lighting equipment and a big thanks to Ollie Knight and Paul Whitaker for all their help and support leading up to and on the day itself.”
The event will be held tomorrow and will kick off at 12 noon through to midnight.
