Nostalgia in SOS call for RNLI event
Nostalgia tribute band will help support the RNLI
FUND-RAISING events are set to take place this week as part of the RNLI’s SOS day.
On Saturday 4 February Staithes and Runswick Bay lifeboat is inviting people to See Our Singers at the Staithes Athletic Club.
Sixties and Seventies tribute band Nostalgia will be performing and all proceeds raised will go towards new state-of-the-art life jackets for volunteer lifeboat crews at all the region’s lifeboat stations.
Fund-raising chairman Dave Manship said: “We are very grateful to Nostalgia for supporting our charity and we’re all looking forward to a great evening.”
The evening begins at 7pm and costs just £3 on the door.
On Monday, the Station Inn in Whitby is hosting a Search Out Solutions quiz for Whitby lifeboat.
The quiz begins at 7.30pm and teams of four are encouraged to enter, with entry costing £2.50 per person.
Hot drinks and nibbles are included.
